It’s been 74 years since the atomic bombs were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

As a citizen of the only country that has experienced the horror of atomic destruction, I feel a sense of responsibility to remember those who lost their lives and to keep those stories retold. It is not to point fingers and play the blame game but to build with what happened, for a more love-filled future, to not let their suffering go to waste. So let’s see what we can build, how we can build our lives with love and compassion for each other!

I made this piece with those who suffered and lost their lives in the two atomic bombings in mind. I also had us in mind, those of us who can shape the way we want to build our world. Hoping for a world without atomic bombs.
